Mark Rubinstein is Searchlight's Co-Managing Partner. Mark leads Searchlight’s Technology, Sports & Entertainment & Social Enterprise practice, with a focus on executive recruitment, coaching and work culture strategy. His expertise includes advising clients on “Purpose” driven strategies and programs that drive employee engagement and overall business success.
Mark is an accomplished business executive, having led companies in the Media, Technology, Sports, and Not For Profit sectors over a 25 year career. Mark has served as President & CEO of CHUM, Yahoo!, Alliance Atlantis, and Insight Sports. He has also successfully launched two start-up ventures, Keshet Canada & Windfield Media, both in the technology and content space. From 2013-2017, Mark served as the CEO of Alpine Canada, one of the largest winter Olympic and Paralympic Federations. Mark’s experience spans all aspects of managing and growing businesses including talent recruitment, organizational strategy, marketing, technology and revenue generation.
In 2018, Mark launched a social impact consultancy practice, The Art of Purpose, helping organizations define and communicate their "Purpose” as a powerful way to unlock unrealized potential for every person and every organization. As part of this commitment, Mark presently serves as Executive Producer on a new docu-series television project, entitled “Good Is The New Cool”profiling artists, designers and activists inspired to create positive social and environmental change.
Mark has served as a member of the Board of Directors of several not for profit organizations including Alpine Canada, Tennis Canada, VideoFACT and as a Volunteer for leading NGO’s such as Charity Water, Pencils of Promise and The Ocean Conservancy.
